Adler Function , DIS sum rules and Crewther Relations ∗
The current status of the Adler function and two closely related Deep Inelastic Scattering (DIS) sum rules, namely, the Bjorken sum rule for polarized DIS and the Gross-Llewellyn Smith sum rule are briefly reviewed. A new result is presented: an analytical calculation of the coefficient function of the latter sum rule in a generic gauge theory in order O(α s ). It is demonstrated that the corre...
متن کاملun 2 00 9 Adler sum rule
The Adler sum rule states that the integral over energy of a difference of neutrino-nucleon and antineutrino-nucleon structure functions is a constant, independent of the four-momentum transfer squared. This constancy is a consequence of the local commutation relations of the time components of the hadronic weak current, which follow from the underlying quark structure of the standard model.
متن کاملRadiative Corrections to the Structure Functions and Sum Rules in Polarized Dis
The one-loop NLO radiative corrections (RC) to the observables in polarized DIS using assumption that a quark is an essential massive particle are considered. If compared with classical QCD formulae the obtained results are identical for the unpolarized and different for polarized sum rules, that can be explained as the influence of the finite quark mass effects on NLO QCD corrections. The expl...
متن کاملQcd Sum Rules for Pion Wave Function Revisited
We analyze new QCD sum rules for the pion wave function (WF) φπ(x), obtained recently in [1] in the non-local vacuum condensate method for non-diagonal correlators, and suggest a new approach for extracting WF of the π-meson and the mass and WF of the first resonance. As a result, we obtain approximately the same form of the pion WF by two different methods and for two different ansatzes of non...
متن کاملStructure Function Sum rules for Systems with Large Scattering Lengths
We use a dispersion relation in conjunction with the operator product expansion (OPE) to derive model independent sum rules for the dynamic structure functions of systems with large scattering lengths. We present an explicit sum rule for the structure functions that control the density and spin response of the many-body ground state. Our methods are general, and apply to either fermions or boso...
